An Art-a-Thon is the same concept as a Dance-a-Thon or Walk-a-Thon. Each artist collects pledges for a dollar amount PER HOUR. The per hour part is important. Then, on Friday, July 13 artists show up at LemonDrop with their supplies and completed pledge cards to see how long they can stay awake to make art. Sponsors then write a check based on their pledge mulitiplied by how many hours the artist is up creating work. We cap the event at 12 hours.
The highest pledger for each artist gets to keep the finished piece after it shows on August 3, 2012 at LemonDrop during the First Friday C-Street Stroll...
